What is Tour the Montour Event?
The Tour the Montour event is a non-competitive bike ride that is held in Coraopolis, PA. It is a great event for the family, as it gets everyone outdoors and exercising. This family bike ride is sort of a choose-your-own adventure because folks have a choice of how long they are going to travel. Participants could choose to bike anywhere from six to 62 miles.
Because the event believes in safety, all bike riders were required to wear helmets. There were rest stops every five to 10 miles for participants to get snacks, drinks, electrolyte replacement, water, and fruit. Additionally, folks could take advantage of the post-ride lunch and raffle prizes.
Some of the raffle prizes included gift cards, cyclist clothing, a bike rack for your vehicle, and a new mountain bike. This event is a lot of fun and attracts folks from all over the region, including nearby Weirton, WV.
