For the past 10 years, Subaru of America and its retailers have partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients across the country. On August 8th, Driveway Subaru of Moon Township personally delivered these items to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center - Coraopolis. These blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope provide warmth and comfort to patients in treatment. The love and support shared through this cherished partnership means a lot to everyone involved! This year, Driveway Subaru of Moon Township also opted to support the LLS Urgent Need Program, which will provide blood cancer patients with financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. Thank you for your commitment to supporting your community as well as the LLS mission to create a world without blood cancer and improve the quality of life for patients and their families!
Driveway Subaru of Moon Township Teams Up to Support Local Community - Karen D
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Moon Township, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Driveway Subaru of Moon Township is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Driveway Subaru of Moon Township have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/14/2025, Driveway Subaru of Moon Township donated 252 coats & 252 shoes/socks to Sewickley Valley YMCA. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Animal Friends/ New Year's "Reverse" Rescue - Bill B
New Year’s “Reverse” Rescue – Adoption Promotion & Donation Drive! Animal friends in partnership with Driveway Subaru of Moon Township and Subaru Loves Pets, adoption donations were waived for the last two weeks of 2024. Also, as a part of New Year’s “Reverse” Rescue, supporters of Animal friends were encouraged to 'Stuff a Subaru' collecting toys and pet supplies. Thank you to Animal Friends for giving these fury friends a second chance!

Driveway Subaru Loves the Earth - Bill B
As part of Earth Day and in the spirit of #SubaruLovesTheEarth, Driveway Subaru of Moon Twp joined Subaru dealerships from the greater Pittsburgh area and the Western PA Conservancy to do trail cleanups in the Youghiogheny watershed. We installed a safety barrier so visitors to this beautiful trail can enjoy it for years to come. Awesome job, Subaru! Mountain Watershed Association is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to protect, preserve and restore the Youghiogheny River watershed and its broader communities through conservation, recreation, education, and advocacy. The organization is unique in that they pursue on-the-ground restoration of past environmental damages while advocating to protect the watershed from new sources of pollution, primarily caused by fossil fuel development. They achieve the mission through a variety of initiatives including abandoned mine drainage remediation, water quality monitoring, trail development, educational programming, grassroots organizing, and legal advocacy.
Subaru Retailers Team Up to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts - Jess M
At Driveway Subaru of Moon Township, we’re always ready to step up and support our communities, especially in times of crisis. This commitment is at the heart of the Subaru Love Promise®. When Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated the Eastern region, Subaru retailers like us immediately sprang into action. Alongside other Subaru retailers, Subaru of America, and local organizations, we assessed the most urgent needs in the affected areas. It quickly became clear that local food banks were struggling to keep up with the surge in demand as they worked to support people hit hardest by the storms. In response, we teamed up with 67 Subaru retailers across the region to launch a $400,000 match campaign to aid the hurricane relief efforts of Feeding America®. Driveway Subaru of Moon Township proudly contributed $2500 to this initiative. While the immediate impact of the storms fades from the headlines, many of our neighbors continue to face long-term challenges like food insecurity, water shortages, power outages, and limited access to essential services. Thanks to the collective generosity of Subaru retailers and the communities we serve, an additional $18,427 was raised. This brings the total impact to $418,427, or over 4,100,000 meals for those in need. "As one of the nation's largest disaster relief organizations, the Feeding America network of food banks and partner agencies is deeply rooted in communities across the country. Together, our partnership with trusted Subaru dealers has helped expedite emergency food assistance and supplies to people who need it most. We are immensely grateful," said Feeding America Chief Development Officer Casey Marsh.

For the past several years, Driveway Subaru of Moon Twp has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On July 18, 2024, Driveway Subaru of Moon Twp personally delivered these items to patients in treatment at UPMC Hillman in Coraopolis. In addition, Driveway Subaru donated $2500 to support 5 patient households.

Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia Partners with Driveway Subaru of Moon Township - Stephanie P
Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia was honored to partner with Driveway Subaru of Moon Township during the 2023 Share the Love Campaign. As the Hometown Charity of Driveway Subaru, the employees and customers raised an incredible $25,199 to help make wishes come true for children with critical illnesses. One of these deserving children is Riley... Riley Born with a heart condition that made hospital visits a normal part of life and a pacemaker that became her constant companion, seventeen-year-old Riley knows how difficult it is to choose joy amid unimaginable struggles. Often, Riley felt weighed down by the knowledge that she could not participate in many of the activities her friends were involved in, like sports that involve physical contact. Over time, Riley learned to shift her perspective and focus on all the things she could do, like advocate for other children who are also facing the devastating effects of a heart condition. When Riley learned about Make-A-Wish, she knew that this was the perfect opportunity to invite other children battling heart conditions to find hope and strength in the little joys of everyday life. With the help of Make-A-Wish volunteers, Riley planned a heart-warming party at the same hospital where she had spent countless hours receiving treatment, hoping to bring a spark of joy to the patients. Kids and their parents were able to come together and pick out gifts specially selected by Riley to ease the stress of their hospital stay.
Above and beyond for Hyde Elementary Teacher Appreciation Week! - Bliss C
Every year, Teacher Appreciation Week is our opportunity to show our teachers how valued and indispensable they are to our community. Our teachers at Hyde Elementary have had a challenging year facing a potential closure of the school we all love so much. The PTO wanted to exceed their expectations and pull out all of the stops in celebrating how much THEY exceed ours every day. However, being a parent funded non-profit organization, the budget limits how lofty our ideas may reach. Due to the generosity of Driveway Subaru, we were able to provide an amazing catered lunch for our teachers & staff!! Maureen Bailey & David Ganser were not just helpful and responsive but truly excited to give back to our amazing teachers! Speaking for the PTO & all of Hyde Elementary, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the opportunity to spoil our teachers!!!
